Vestbygd – Lødingen’s natural gem

Lødingen Vestbygd is located farthest west in the municipality of Lødingen. To the east we have Narvik 150 km away. To the west we can see Lofoten, with the characteristic Lofoten mountain range that shields us from the Atlantic Ocean. Svolvær is 150 km away, following E-10 to Lofoten, but just one hour by sea aboard the express boat route between Narvik and Svolvær, calling at Vestbygd several times weekly.

You can reach Vestbygd by private automobile (turn off from E-10 at Kanstad between Lødingen and Sort land) or by bus from Lødingen 3 times daily (except Saturdays). The buses and express boats connect with other public transportation in the area.

Lødingen Vestbygd is an Eldorado for people who enjoy the outdoors, for deep sea fishing enthusiasts, for divers and for hikers. The natural surroundings are varied, including pristine wilderness and rocky shoreline skerries that are an adventure in themselves, beckoning bathers and fishermen to spend some time on their beaches.
